In his opening remarks Mr Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, pointed out that the Government is working on developing vocational education and training that will focus on its quality and efficiency, linked to the labour market, and which will enable each individual competences for personal and professional development and lifelong learning.

President of Croatian Chamber of Economy Luka Burilović, in his speech pointed towards the necessary measures for the development of VET system: change in legislation, development of support system for employers to engage more strongly in VET education, and promotion of vocational education, and appealed to the Ministry of Science and Education to accept the proposals of the business sector.
This conference was not part of the Cap4App project, but it was an opportunity to present the activities that are implemented within the Cap4App project, as they are important for the ongoing reform of VET system.
As part of the conference, a panel discussion was held "What kind of vocational education do we want?".
