Report "Analysis of current situation of apprenticeship scheme in Croatia"
The report was compiled by SEECEL.
Report consists of background report (with inputs from partners’ institutions: Croatian Chamber of Economy, Croatian Employment Service and Chamber of Trades and Crafts Zagreb) and analysis of the results of surveys conducted among small and medium enterprises, vocational schools and counties (the founders of schools).
The online survey was conducted in the beginning phase of the project implementation. It was opened on 16 December 2016 and closed on 20 January 2017. Three variants of the survey were made available for each target group: the version that was addressed to SMEs was distributed through CCE county chambers; other two surveys were distributed by SEECEL to vocational schools and counties.
699 SMEs, 119 schools and 5 county departments responsible for education have responded to the call. The aim of the survey was to collect information about the experiences and attitudes in implementing work-based learning, identify the main obstacles faced by companies that have already implemented some form of work-based learning and companies that are in the future ready to participate in these forms of learning, and to develop ideas for measures that could be applied in the future to develop the system.
The results obtained from the analysis were presented to the public as a contribution to the debate on the effectiveness of work-based learning model in special programs of vocational education, at the first Cap4App conference.
The report is available in its' entirety in English here, and a short version of research results in Croatian and can be downloaded here (published on 28 February 2017).
